The Company
A leading UK FTSE100 financial services group are looking to recruit a number of Actuaries on a permanent basis due to an increase in business demands. Primarily seen as a technical expert who adds value through applying technical knowledge in the form of business relevant advice, the Actuaries will support the business on a number of projects within the actuarial services department.

The Role
The roles will require the Actuaries to implement processes and services to meet defined objectives to protect the company’s financial position and compliance with regulation. You will provide advice to the business so as to improve the effectiveness of commercial decision-making. Pro-actively identifying, research and recommend improvements within risk appetite to systems, structures, procedures and practices. You will also keep up to date with external developments and own area of expertise through professional training and motivate, co-ordinate, monitor and control the work of your team to maximise their effectiveness.

The Person
The ideal candidate will be a qualified or part qualified actuary within the Life and Pensions arena. You will be focused, capable of performing rigorous analysis and working with detail in order to make decisions based on sound investigation. Technically focused you will be motivated by solving difficult problems for the customer and be able to apply actuarial principles to relevant problems which will require knowledge of: Embedded Value, including variance analysis, Statutory valuation, Investment matching, Asset shares and bonus reviews, Forecasting, Stochastic modelling skills and the use of derivatives Economic capital and ICA methodologies.

The Benefits
