The Company
A leading UK FTSE100 financial services group are looking to recruit a number of Actuarial Analysts’ on a permanent basis due to an increase in business demands. Primarily seen as an experienced team member the Actuarial Analysts will support effective business processing and improvement of business results and provide advice and guidance to others.

The Role
The Actuarial Analysts will be required to gather and provide insights into data from various sources and produce accurate and timely financial reports, accounts and forecasts to aid the management of the business and protect the company’s financial position. You will ensure that appropriate actuarial systems and controls are in place at all times and that appropriate systems and procedures are in place to mitigate agreed areas of risk and reduce capital requirements. You will keep up-to-date with own specific areas of expertise through professional training to comply with regulation and maintain best practice and implement and monitor compliance with Finance policy and develop procedures to ensure that the work is carried out in line with best practice

The Person
The Actuarial Analyst’s will be an actuarial student, with at least 6 passes, who is being supervised by a qualified actuary or have reached an equivalent level having ceased studying. You will enjoys investigating to understand the causes of variances and thrives on developing and applying your professional expertise, capable of working to tight timescales and be competent to perform the whole or a substantial part of several of the following areas (the output of the work would be either a draft set of results or a draft report, which would be reviewed and signed off by an Actuary): Embedded Value, including variance analysis, Statutory valuation, Investment matching, Asset shares and bonus reviews, Experience monitoring, Forecasting, Analysis of investment returns and Analysis of published information.
