Our client are a firm of SSAS Specialists.

Job Purpose:
  • To support the delivery of excellent customer service by administering and processing scheme transactions in accordance with procedures, standards and control.
  • There are three ‘levels’ to the Administrator role:  Core, Central and Comprehensive. 
·          The Core level role may contain more routine processing activities than the Central role. 
·          Central level Administrators would be expected to have some previous pensions admin experience. 
·          At Comprehensive level, Administrators would be expected to have considerable SSAS administrative experience and be able to deal with more complex or high-risk transactions, respond to more involved customer queries and may have responsibility for coaching and mentoring less experienced members of staff, including identification and referral of training needs. 
·          All staff will be expected to meet the performance indicators in accordance with their role, and will agree performance standards and targets with their line manager.
 
Key Accountabilities Include:
SSAS Transactions;
  • Complete a series of procedures and routines to ensure the accurate and timely transaction of customer letters, telephone calls, claims or applications. At all levels, this involves providing the highest level of customer service and dealing with queries efficiently and accurately, working within agreed timescales. 
Records Maintenance;
  • Ensure that records are updated and completed for all transactions to meet Company requirements and maintain the integrity of our database and client records, ensuring regulatory deadlines are met. 
Communication;
  • Resolve queries/issues by telephone or letter, by reference to established frameworks and procedures.  The role will also involve liaising with other departments within the Company, requesting information and chasing progress. 
Support Colleagues;
  • Support agreed team and department targets by covering any gaps in transaction delivery across teams in the best interest of the department and process effectiveness.
Personal Development;
  • Update own knowledge and skills, and develop self in line with current and future business requirements and own aspirations.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
·          Administrative experience and familiarity with office routines (at Core level, ideally some financial or customer services experience is preferred, at Central level we would expect pensions experience, and Comprehensive level should have good SSAS or SIPP experience)
·          Ability to understand and conform to laid down processes and routines
·          Empathy with customers and colleagues
·          Good at working to deadlines and progress chasing
·          Keyboard skills and literate in the standard IT programmes
·          Numerate - able to carry out manual calculations as required        
·          Articulate - letter writing skills to include good spelling and grammar       
·          Good communication skills - listening skills and telephone skills, self-confidence
·          Organised and systematic, with an analytical approach to problem solving
·          Flexible, professional and committed
