Assistant Pensions Manager
A superb opportunity for you to be the number two within this small, but busy pensions department, providing support to the Pensions Manager in the delivery of the pension service to Members, Employer and Trustees. You will also be responsible for 2 junior members of the team where you will supervise the daily operation of their work. Your responsibilities will include production of higher level benefit calculations and project work, undertaking some member surgeries/meetings, co-ordinating the annual retirement program for all schemes, reporting on all management tasks to the Pensions Manager, support Trustees’ meetings and deputising for the Pensions Manager in their absence. You must have significant pension experience at team leader or supervisory level gained in-house or at a third party administrator and be able to demonstrate experience of a wide range of periodic pension projects. You should also possess excellent technical knowledge of defined benefit and defined contribution pension scheme legislation, have accurate verbal, written and presentational skills and be a confident communicator.
