Reporting to the UK Director of Pensions, the UK Pensions Manager will have responsibility for service delivery to the Company and, in conjunction with the Scheme Secretary, to the members of the UK pension arrangements. The role holder will assist the UK Director of Pensions on developments to pension scheme design arising from legislation, providing guidance on reviewing benefit structures to reflect competitive trends and legal requirements.

The role:

•Managing pensions related projects which will include: providing written and verbal reports to the UK Director of Pensions and Steering Committees on a regular basis; holding regular project update meetings with relevant parties; setting and monitoring budgets for the projects; managing and contributing to the communications process to the various stakeholders in any project.
•Monitoring the UK pension environment; initiating reviews and recommending to the UK Director of Pensions options for changing the UK pension arrangements in the light of changing conditions; to include benchmarking and data provision on UK pension arrangements to internal and external sources.
•Providing support on corporate activities such as restructurings, disposals, acquisitions.

The person:

•Suitable candidates will be high calibre pension pensions professionals who can demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the impact of pensions provision from a corporate perspective within a highly complex corporate structure.
•Candidates should possess an appropriate pensions qualification (APMI or equivalent) coupled with excellent UK pension’s technical knowledge.
•The successful candidate will be a highly capable project manager with the ability to instigate and implement new initiatives and best governance practice. It is essential that candidates have a demonstrable track record of success of influencing key stakeholders within a complex organisation.
